Well now, this episode certainly was interesting; you have to give it props for unexpected plot twists that's for sure. Now where should I start? For starters we begin the episode with the Scooby Gang questioning Buffy's "gaga" personality, especially considering she's hardly ever around. *It's strange how going to visit your ex-(or not-so-ex) demon lover for "training" tends to take up your spare time*

Meanwhile, Buffy and Faith are practicing for their new Olympic category, "synchronized slaying," in the graveyard with Giles when all of a sudden a stuffy Brit' gal appears out of nowhere and takes Giles and his mocha latte by surprise. Gwendolyn Post (the stuffy Brit' chica) has come to be Faith's new Watcher, and to our surprise and sheer entertainment she is even staunchier then Mr.Tweed himself.

Mrs.Post has come to warn her new Slayer that Largos (I'm not so sure about the spelling but it's something like that..it sounds like "Legos"~ you know those plastic construction blocks you played with when you were a tiny tot~) *ahem* Largos is a demon in search of the glove of Mineghon, which, when worn by the demon, is able to shoot out lightning bolts at unsuspecting mortals (that'd be us).

Buffy goes for her own "personal training" with Angel, where once again we get to see Angel sans shirt. *I think it's part of his contract now* While practising Tai-chi, Angel comes up behind Buffy and places his hands over hers to "guide" her - in a moment of pure angst and total mush-mush they almost kiss but Buffy returns to earth in the nick of time and pulls away, leaving a disappointed Angel in "jiggy" mode. After a brief discussion on the topic of Largos (and their relationship which needs to be reluctantly dropped like a bad habit) Buffy departs while Angel ponders over Largos and their discussion.

Buffy and Faith are on the prowl for ikkee demons when Faith gives Buffy the ability to use her rain check *to go visit Angel of course* leaving Faith in the grave yard to battle Largos *he looks quite a bit like the troll in "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" sorry, had to put that in there* Naturally Largos is a tough ole' bean so Faith is catapulted into the air and the demon-in-search-of-his-lightning-glove runs off to another graveyard to look for the mitten of Mineghon.

Meanwhile Xander and Willow are "researching" in the library with Giles when Willow gets a headache and Xander takes on the roll of masseuse (or is that "masseur" in his case) and before you can say, "hormonal angst" we've got W&X (ever notice how the couples on this show have initials one right after the other - A&B, W&X) *oops, off topic, sorry* (Interesting point, though...-Robyn) semi-horizontal with their faces shoved into each others trachea. An unaware Giles arrives on the scene to unintentionally break up the pair *he doesn't catch them in the act so their rendezvous is still pretty hush hush* Xander decides to leave the premises to avoid any more close calls, and goes out to the graveyard suspected of holding the tomb which contains the sought-after glove. While galavanting the graveyard, Xander spies Angel who is carrying a bundle. After sporting a baffled look, Xander follows Angel to the old mansion where he catches him and Buffy mid-smooch (there is nothing leading up to their big kiss; we see them in each others arms and then it's commercial break time)

Angel and Buffy are in smooch-ville for quite some time before Buffy pulls away and gives Angel the whole, "Omigosh, what did we do? Bad, bad, bad, shame, shame, shame" routine. In a huff the breathless Slayer tries to leave but Angel stops her telling her he has something to show her...the glove of Mineghon.

Alrighty, time to make this speedy. Xander spills the juice to the Slayerettes that Angel's back and the whole group (with Willow as an exception) goes pretty wiggy on the Buff-ster. Giles is ashamed of her and feels taken advantage of (his wounds are still pretty fresh regarding his torture and the death of Jenny) So, as an act of repentance, Buffy goes out there and kills Largos on the hunt (in the midst of Willow trying to confess her deep dark secret) Meanwhile, Faith and Xander find Giles unconscious on the floor of the library (that is after we discover Miss.Post is a psycho looney in search of almighty power. In other words she gives our fave Watcher a good swift knock on the noggin) Faith assumes Angel is to blame and goes on the hunt for our all time fave shirtless-fanged-homosapian while Xander baby-sits Giles until the ambulances arrive. Buffy jumps onto the scene and quickly departs after learning where Faith has headed off to.

At the mansion, Angel is conducting a ritual to dispose of the glove and the kooky-brit' lady stops him in mid-chant to tell him she has come to assist. Angel hesitantly accepts her offer and she gives him a good swift knock on the noggin (with a pic-axe no less) with the intent to kill. Naturally Angel recovers quickly and tries to beat the accent out of Gwendolyn. Now what do you think happens next? Yep, you got it....Faith attacks Angel after seeing him go postal on her new Watcher and comes 'this close' to staking him when (yup, you got it again) Buffy stops her and they share blows *this is a verrrry well done fight scene...oh yes indeedy* (Share blows?! I'm thinkin' that's an understatement! Talk about kicking the **** out of each other...*ahem* Sorry. Back to Kendra...hehe... - Robyn) Suddenly, Mrs Post puts on the glove and starts firing bolts at the Scooby Gang. Angel saves Willow from being thoroughly scorched and Buffy amputates Faith's ex-Watchers arm, resulting in some pretty white light and a wave buh-bye to the nasty lady.

Okeeleedokeely, now as if that wasn't a badly constructed paragraph....Buffy and the gang share a moment of semi-reconciliation; Willow confesses that she's back to liking Angel and Xander states that "as long as they (Buffy and Angel) don't go pelvic things should be okay." (I couldn't have said it better myself - I wonder how long they'll stay away from pelvic-land?)

In summation, I pretty much enjoyed this ep. It was hard to get into the plot though with all the B&A action going on; it's amazing how those two can upstage the entire plot of the dang blasted show. Like I stated earlier, this episode deserves props for unexpected plot twists (who really clued in that Miss.Post was a baddy before Largos was knocked off?) Here's to more happy viewing for us Buffy-ites.

Yep, I'm in agreement - this one had to be one of the best eps I've seen to date, although the actual plot of the thing has me baffled...Largos just seemed to be a 'nothing'...or some sort of final catalyst to get the Angel thing rolling...either way, it was a pretty good ep! Here's hoping for more A&B moments... preferably with Angel sans shirt, right Kendra?! *grin* - Robyn
